Table for Eight…

Last year I made a table for eight… I did have an order for two but only managed to get one finished before Xmas… now the second one is finished and I will be delivering it today…

This table is fairly large… at 1500 mm by 1500 mm and the legs are a full 100 mm square.. [5 feet by 5 feet and 4 inch square legs… for our American readers.]

Made primarily from New Guinea Rosewood… Purple Heart stripes were use on the slats and legs for accent…

Altogether there were well over 600 dowel holes drilled…12 dowels to join each end of the apron to a leg.. 5 dowels to attach the slats although I only used 4 on the earlier table…… and 12 dowels for each joint in the frame…and it takes 4 men to lift it… nah just kidding but it does take two strong men to move it… no joke..
