Loose weave platter.

I know I have not posted a project for a while… this has been in the half finished basket since before the last woodshow…. This is a slightly different weave… more open… background is Hoop Pine… araucaria cunninghamii…. and the weave is Tasmanian Blackwood with Hoop Pine and Tasmanian Blackwood accents…. you may or may not notice the grain orientation.. something I hope everyone pays attention to… the background is fluent…and each weave is cut consecutively from the same piece… I used the TWC to scarf out the centre and around the base just inside the edge [pic 4]…Light sand and for this platter I have used “CHINA WOOD OIL”.

As usual I am including a small teaser… last pic
