Last board for a Xmas order.

The silly season is on us and I have got nearly all my woodworking orders finished and ready for delivery for Xmas…

I received a request for 4 Chopping Boards for Christmas… I have the last one nearly ready. I should be able to post them off tomorrow or maybe Monday… still time to get there but it is cutting it a little fine…[pun intended… lol]

The first one is finished….

Yes..that's right it is the double step

The second

A round Silver Ash.... 400 mm in diameter and 50 mm thick...

And the third…

Single step on an angle....and only half the size of the others...

are ready for final sanding and oiling… the last is still in the clamps… here is a quick shot of the glue up..

And here it is after I cut two adjacent sides and re glued on the other two adjacent sides…

This one is Silver Ash and Tasmanian Blackwood.. measures 450 mm by 320 mm and it is just under 50 mm thick… It is a variation on the Sinister Boards…

Run it through the drum sander …. a little finishing sanding with the ROS …. profile the edges… oil it up…

Then they all get a set of rubber feet…

Wrap it up in some bubble wrap to protect it on its journey… and thank you very much Santa…

I will post this collection of boards when they are all nice and shiny….
