My good service award of the year goes to…..

WESTPAC Bank, Merchant Services..

As many of you may or may not know … I have a mobile EFTPOS machine.. for use when I go to the Wood Shows around the country and also for use at the local craft markets….

Last Sunday, while the machine was making a download of new software or some such… it decided to freeze… I looked a little foolish when the machine would not work when I require it to help make a sale… Oh well the customer was very good about it … went to an ATM and got some cash out…

Tuesday was the first day I had time to call the bank… Long and short of it… could not be fixed over the phone… The Business Service Agent was full of apologies and asked my hours of business.. Working from home has its advantages and told her 24/7…

Well, we will have a new one out to you in 4 hours….

This was after 3 PM…..4 hours…  no way… well I was right…

In less than 1 hour of making the initial call, their representative had called to say he was on his way, arrived, downloaded all the relevant info to get me back on line and had gone… under 1 hour…


Well done, Westpac Bank…And a big thumbs up from the FONZ… hey.
