Three Different Timbers

Well, for all those who will be taking the End Grain Cutting Board 101 class….A little heads up regarding timber… I have two similar designs that I will be making… a beginner board and one for intermediate woodworkers…

Both boards will require three different timbers… a light and a dark and one in between…I will be going into the various timber selection and dimensions in the first lesson but for those who need to plan a trip to the lumber yard I hope this is of some help… just make sure that what ever timber you choose it is fairly tight grained and does not contain any spalting…..

Until later then…

Don’t forget to remind everyone to not run their finished boards through the planer, like I did. LOL. mike
