What do you do with the ends of slabs… the bits that look like they should be in the scrap bin… or maybe the fire box…

Well this is what I did…

I sanded them and drilled 3 holes with a forstner bit and dropped in some soy tea light candles…

Queensland maple..More mapleMaple with a curved slice of purple heart… cut on the curve cutting jig on the bandsaw…

This is a branch off a camphor laurel tree that was cut in the neighbors yard last year…
