Oil burners…

No I am not talking about old cars that have worn rings in the engine and burn oil and blow smoke… this reference me go over a few heads but most will know what I mean…

No… I am talking about fragrant oil [or wax melts] burners…the ones with a bowl for the oil [or melt] and a tea light candle underneath to provide enough heat to activate the fragrance..

Over the weekend I met a woman who sells candles and fragrances via partyplan… and she asked if I could make an oil burner from timber… she is looking to add this to her range for parties as she has regular enquiries about burners made of wood…

This is made from New Guinea Rosewood with two stripes of Purple Heart inlaid around the top and sides and an inlaid stripe of Purple Heart and Silver Ash around the front face..

The Maxwell & Williams bowl is set into a hole drilled in the top..

I tested this for 1/2 an hour in my workshop to check the safety of using a candle near timber and had no problems… and the workshop smelled great… I used Frangipani….

I will post more info regards the Party Plan Business when I know if this is to be included in their range… They are also looking at the tea candle holders I make…

Looking like the word’s out Larry. You make beautiful things, you have no where to go but up. It’s time to expand and incorporate. Start making that big money!!! Of course, maybe that’s not what you want. I’m sure you can keep up, that’s if you don’t sleep. Best of luck buddy. mike
