A Big Weave Board…

I have been making a BIG weave board for a few weeks now… just in my spare time…

I have a few progress shots to share..

In the clamps…as you can see I use and recommend TiteBond III…

Running through the Drum Sander… I would be lost with out my Jet 16/32

This is the little Bosch ROS.. there are more expensive and maybe better sanders out there but bang for buck.. can’t go past this little ripper… and I have it hooked up to a Supa Separator and a Nilfisk Vaccuum Cleaner…

The Supa Separator was designed for the concrete cutting industry.. and the Nilfisk is set up for Asbestos removal… high powered duo… no sawdust on my sanding station…

Both available from Allens Industrial.

This the board with a little mineral spirits to show the colour and grain… when the purple heart is a little more purple I will give is a couple of coats of Watco Butcher Block Oil and Finish… now available from Masters Hardware…

And an update on the memorial garden for Becky… some sawdust mulch and a border of Rheos… and some friends for company…

Lew is right on on both counts. She must have meant a lot to you. Sorry pal. Nice board, man those boards look complicated.

These woven boards are so cool. I use the shavings from my planes to put around a couple of small trees, but woods like walnut are not good for trees or to use in horse stalls either. With the woods that you use, do you have to be careful about toxins?
