Ship to the USA?

My largest board yet would cost between AU$94.80 [best part of a hundred bucks US and take several weeks] and AU$228.95 [US$240.00 and a few days] to send to the states…I don’t think the US is going to be my target market with these big boards… although you never know… with my low prices and even with high shipping I may be in with a chance over the higher end of the market..

You don’t want to incur all the costs, and cut into your profits. Just common sense, plus the boards are beautiful, one of a kind. If someone orders a one of a kind item, they should have to pay extra, and I think they would be expecting to pay more for it.

It’s not just to here, either, Larry. Wanted to order some pepper seeds to plant in the spring. $6 for the seeds- $24 shipping. Needless to say, they kept their seeds.

That is crazy high shipping, and no one would pay it. You could ship that thing from California to Maine for $10 (and most web retailers would ship for free) so the sticker shock would be too much. Plus, and this is a big plus, shipping feels like money thrown away. Since you are crafting one-of-a-kind items, the price is flexable – a customer that pays $300 (w/free shipping) feels like they got a $300 item, while one who pays $200 (plus $100 shipping) feels like they got a $200 item and WASTED $100 on moving said item. Psychology, sure, but reality.

Brian in Las Vegas is completely right.
