Very disappointing…

Ho Hum … spent a few hours at the show today… very disappointing…

Nice lot of timber, a few new faces but a lot of the old faces were missing… did not enjoy myself much…

Did take some video of some timber and a few nice pieces… had a chat with Robert Gregory about the Sandflee and the Shelix heads for jointers and planers… met up with Kevin from Bidgiwong… bought a clock mechanism from Carrols… listened to Stan sing and play on his hubcap banjo… I enjoyed that…

PS  One thing I heard on the grapevine is that the new CNC machine from YAS Engineering is now in the vicinity of AU$15,000.00 not the 9 to 10 that was bandied around at the Maleny Wood Show two weeks ago…I was actually looking at buying one.. but at that price… I will stick to the TWC or buy Chinese…

I got there after lunch and there were only a few punters wandering around the show…

Sorry to hear this, Larry! If it’s like here in the states, maybe the economy has something to do with it.
