A little board of Narra…

The other day, when I was dressing the Narra, [New Guinea Rosewood], I found a fabulous piece..The one on the right…


After cutting into 4 equal pieces it was dressed and glued up..

A little turps to show grain colour and shape…

Cut into a round shape on the bandsaw and sanded on the disc sander..

Then off to the TWC to scarf out the centre to make it a platter…

A little more turps and wow…doesn’t that Narra pop…

I may leave this as a platter or it may have a bearing attached underneath… ala Lazy Larry…
