Diamonds to Trivets.

Trivets, trivets and more trivets,

Watch the slide show to see the progressive build of a trivet… tumbling blocks style…

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

To start I made a jig to hold the initial pieces… lined it with cling film…and then used a large rubber band to hold the whole thing in place while the glue dried…

After more than 2o trivets, I was able to get the glueing up time down to 90 seconds…

Edit… did anyone notice the third diamond was not in the correct orientation… I did not see this until the third viewing of the slideshow… [Design feature….]

  1. Larry,

In North America, we call them “trivets”. Is “trevits” an Australian thing?

    Now that’s a Rubber Band!!
Love the simplicity of the jig!
