Upgrading one of my Laser Engravers

GCC LaserPro Explorer…

Initially wanted a laser engraver this size but the purchase price put me off a little…. Bought the GCC C180 II [more in my price range] but when a pre owned unit came on the market , I went down to Sign Technologies in Clontarf…Had a chat with Gary Chapman [managing director] and after crunching the numbers traded the C180II for the Explorer…

New Explorer

A very small change over and it was mine….Gary and John will deliver it next Monday, set up, install drivers, and give me some training on the software [similar but slightly different] and remove the smaller laser… good deal all round…

Twice as fast and 3 times the work area… all the bells and whistles of the C180II… so it was a no brainer.

It is always a pleasure dealing with the team from Sign Technologies…

IMG_4084More room and greater speed will make life easier.. still keeping the really big Chinese machine…it is twice the size of the Explorer but so much slower…. main point is that it has a glass tube which is better for cutting… the steel laser tube in the Explorer is ideal for very fine engraving…

WOW! Nice machine! Glad to see you’re still around, haven’t heard much from you lately. Saw that “down under” got to typhoons at the same time- hope you didn’t get any damage.
